"Architecture using Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete":

The morning session on Friday 12 May featured short presentations on GRC projects specifically designed for Architects.

Partner Programme:

The Delegates' Partners enjoyed a full programme of alternative events, for those not involved in the main Congress programme.

This included an exciting day on 10 May, seeing major sights around London including Buckingham Palace, St Pauls Cathedral, The Shard etc. and hearing a little of the history. There was a lunch break at Covent Garden Piazza, which was once London’s fruit and vegetable market but is now a pretty piazza filled with boutique shops and cafes. It often has live singers, market stalls and street acrobats.

GRCA 2023 GRC Awards:

The GRCA  2023 GRC Awards were presented during the Gala Dinner. Categories for the Awards included:
• Category 1: Best use of GRC in a new build project with classical architectural design.
• Category 2: Best use of GRC in a new build project with contemporary architectural design.
• Category 3: Best use of GRC in a Renovation project.
• Category 4: Best Non-Architectural Landscaping GRC application/product.
• Category 5: Best Engineering GRC application/product.
• Category 6: Best GRC Innovation Award.
• Category 7: GRCA Congress Award.
