Details of the membership of the GRCA

Based in the UK but with international membership, The International Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete Association (GRCA) aims are to promote the use of Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete or GRC, also known as Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete or GFRC, worldwide and to encourage best practice within the GRC / GFRC industry. The Association is a prime source of information and independent advice and its publications, both technical and marketing, are highly regarded. Membership of The International GRC Association is available in a selection of grades, which are detailed below:

Full Members

Any GRC / GFRC Manufacturer displaying the GRCA "Full Member" logo has been annually assessed by an independent certifying body appointed by The International GRC Association (GRCA). As part of the Full Member assessment process the GRC Manufacturer must demonstrate that they have sufficient resources in plant, equipment and labour to consistently design and manufacture high quality GRC in accordance with the Full Member Regulations. The assessment will also confirm that the Full Member has quality management systems and production controls in place to comply with the requirements of the GRCA Specification, Methods of Testing and Practical Design Guide.

GRCA Full Member status is not a guarantee of quality, and specifiers and users of GRC / GFRC must satisfy themselves that the GRC manufacturing Full Member has sufficient resources in plant, equipment and labour to consistently design and manufacture high quality GRC in accordance with the requirements of the GRCA Specification, Methods of Testing and Practical Design Guide.

Membership of the The International Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete Association (GRCA) is available to all companies operating within the GRC market worldwide. It can include, GRC consultants, designers, structural engineers, material suppliers, installers and of course GRC manufacturers. Membership of the GRCA is subject to pre-approval by the GRCA Council and permits companies to display the GRCA logo and participate in the running of the Association, but GRCA Membership is not a guarantee of quality, and specifiers and users of GRCA Members must satisfy themselves that the Member has sufficient and suitable abilities and resources to undertake and supply the required work / materials.

From 1st April 2022 onwards, all GRC Manufacturing GRCA membership applicants have to pass a GRCA Full Member assessment by an independent certifying body appointed by the International GRCA before being accepted into the GRCA as a Full Member. Specifiers and users of GRC / GFRC from a GRC manufacturing GRCA Full Member must satisfy themselves that the GRC manufacturer has sufficient resources in plant, equipment and labour to consistently design and manufacture high quality GRC in accordance with the requirements of the GRCA Specification, Methods of Testing and Practical Design Guide.

GRCA Associates

"GRCA Associate" is available to individuals by special GRCA invite only. This grade may be awarded to any individual who, in the opinion of the GRCA Council, is progressing educational knowledge and/or research of the GRC material. This grade may also be awarded to any individual who, in the opinion of the GRCA Council, have dedicated long or distinguished service to the GRCA or the GRC industry. Often, past Officers of the Association who have retired from full time employment may be awarded the grade to preserve their interest in GRC and the GRCA.
GRCA Associates are not permitted to use the GRCA logo however they may attend general meetings of the Association.

GRCA Membership Grades & Criteria

The various Grades of membership of The International Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete Association have different eligibility criteria, acceptance rules for new applicants and ongoing requirements and commitments once a person or company has been accepted in to the Association as a Member.

Dialogue and interaction with others in the industry is vital to progress and the biennial GRCA Congresses are an ideal opportunity for networking and keeping up to date with the latest developments. The GRCA membership year runs from April 1^st to March 31^st and is for 12 months at the full price listed below.
Members joining after April 1^st will be charged a reduced rate based on the remaining quarters of the membership year.

Full Members, GRC Manufacturers

(+VAT where applicable) Including Full Member assessment fees. All Full Members must be annually assessed to retain their membership. All new GRC Manufacturer applicants must be Full Member assessed before being accepted into the GRCA.
